I haven’t blogged much, I know, I think I’ve overloaded the blogwatch for two weeks of work. Trust me. I’ve gone through at least a thousand different blogs during my past 2 weeks of work. It ain’t as great as it seems. But workin’ in MindValley rocks. =)

More comin’ up! For now, backlogged Photopost Pt. 3: Elvi’s Birthday =)

—————————————————-

We celebrated Elvi’s birthday a little earlier than usual. The actual date of her birthday is July 23rd but since she’d be in Melbourne (and Jack would be in Miri), the beloved boyfriend decided to organize a little surprise shindig.

When? July 6th, right after our PSY207 paper
Where? TTDI Park
Who? The OverAchievers Gang, minus Elvi doh! (Kevin, Ren, Oonie, StephA-not-Pots and Mary), and the rest of us humanly slacking individuals – Shean, Mirness and I.. and Jack of course.

First up!

1700: Meet at TTDI Park. We had a miniparade to the park with my oldbuttrusty ProtonSaga leading the way for two cerulean navy blue CLKs (*read: Cute Little Kelisas – trust Oonie to come up with that)! Then wait for close to an hour for our guest of honour.

Our sorry little excuse (used by Jack) was that I went to TTDI Park with the Mirness and my tyre decided to puncture itself. It’s a wonderfully solid excuse because it is well-known that the Mirness is absolutely clueless about cars. Worked like a charm… although poor Mirness’ name was tarnished from Bangsar to TTDI. Let’s just say our guest of honour’s interrupted shopping trip did not really sit well with her – initially.

When she did arrive however…. we realized we lacked a lighter for the candles as Murli dearest was MIA. Kev, Ren and I ran like monkeys around TTDI park looking for a lighter while Steph and Izmir nicely sat under the confines of the gazebo telling each other how ridiculous we were (and looked).

We failed. Had to make do with imaginary flames. My collossal mistake was forgetting to take a picture of the scrumptious cake, Amer, we got from Bakerzin.

Elvi definitely got all ‘warm ‘n’ fuzzy’ (Lee, 2007) from the love. Let’s just say all bad thoughts about the Mirness were extinguished when the blindfold was removed.

After digging into the cake, we decided to depart for our next destination. Before that, Kevin wanted a shot with his ‘artytrees’

Next up! Ms Read’s DELIcious!

Then.. the food arrived! I was too smitten by my salmon to take pictures of everyone else’s food.

Kevin and Ren gleeful post-arrival-of-food

A very abashed Murli
who decided to grace us with his belated presence

Next-up: GROUPHUG!

The overachievers got that cuddlyfeelin’.

Murli got a tad lonely so…

But when Elvi tried to relieve him of his loneliness, we discovered that Murli is actually hugaphobic……

All-in-all, the surprise was a success and we definitely had loads of fun, shopping and playing pool before going our separate ways for the night.
