The night before heading back to Penang, I was at LaundryBar with the Mirness, Kevin (the genius Kevin) and his friend to catch a ProjectBazooka gig.

My favourite of the night had to be Deepset. Go check out their their myspace for a listen. The KarlMaka from Singapore wasn’t too good though – his vocals didn’t do the beats justice!
Anyway, the highlight of the night followed a call I got from May at 11.45 or so. She was in Ruums somewhere downtown KL with Venetia and friends catching the “So You Think You Can Dance?” semi finals live. She called the Mirness’ cell (I had forgotten mine and she obtained it through making full use of her social network) citing an emergency. I couldn’t hear much and was starting to get worried (emergency ma) so I quickly ran out of Laundry. Her emergency? She had left her carkeys in Venetia’s handbag. She was stranded in Ruums with a car, without her car keys. I later told Vene that they were geniuses. Anyway, I waited for Vene to come by LaundryBar to pass me her keys before making a move. The Mirness and I initially decided to keh gau a bit and take this unknown highway to Ampang (which is near KL). We ended up in Batu Caves. In our defense, the signboard (before we decided to take that route) stated “Ampang” very clearly but Ampang kind of disappeared after the 5th signboard or so. We ended up making a U-turn and detouring at weird secluded places, taking a harsh toll on my petrol tank, before arriving in KL.
Looks like my absentmindedness and carelessness is contagious after all.
